Jamshedpur: R.V.S. Academy, Dimna Road, organised a special programme to commemorate the death anniversary of Late Shri Shiroman Singh Ji, grandfather of the school’s Chairman and Founder, Shri Binda Singh Ji, along with International Literacy Day (World Literacy Day). On this dual occasion, the school fraternity paid a heartfelt tribute to Late Shri Shiroman Singh Ji and reaffirmed its commitment to spreading the light of education and literacy in society.
The programme began with Shri Binda Singh Ji, Chairman and Founder of the school, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, Principal, and the Vice Principal offering floral tributes to the portrait of Late Shri Shiroman Singh Ji. Teachers and students of the school were present on the occasion.
Students delivered impressive speeches in both Hindi and English highlighting the life values, contributions and ideals of Late Shri Shiroman Singh Ji, as well as the importance of education and literacy. They also presented inspiring thoughts on education, good values and the importance of constantly striving to move forward in life.
The students presented melodious patriotic and inspirational songs spreading the message of education. They also recited meaningful poems highlighting the importance of literacy and the need for education, making the programme both inspiring and memorable.
On the occasion, Shri Binda Singh Ji, Chairman and Founder, said, “The life of Late Shri Shiroman Singh Ji was dedicated to education, values and the upliftment of society. Remembering him on International Literacy Day is a source of inspiration for all of us. Literacy is the foundation of a strong nation, and education is one of the most powerful means of bringing positive change to society.”

The programme concluded with a collective resolve to bring about positive change in society through education, values and social awareness.
