“SPECTRUM: A Canvas of Creativity and Innovation”
RVS Academy, Mango, Dimna Road, organised its Science and Art Exhibition “SPECTRUM: A Canvas of Creativity and Innovation” on Saturday, 19 September. The exhibition provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their creativity, scientific thinking, imagination and subject knowledge.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chairman of the school, Mr. Binda Singh, by cutting the ribbon. He was accompanied by the Principal, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, Vice Principal, Mrs. Puja Suman, Teacher Coordinators Mrs. Mamta Mishra, Mrs. Shikha Singh and Mrs. Suchitra Dutta, along with the teaching faculty.
Students presented innovative and informative models and projects based on a wide range of subjects, including English, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science, EVS, Social Studies, History, Civics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
The Mathematics section featured interesting models on topics such as Pythagoras Theorem and Height and Distance. The English and Hindi sections presented creative models on the history of English literature, different units of the Hindi language and stories. The science projects focused on environmental conservation, water conservation, alternative sources of energy, modern technology and the application of science in everyday life.
The projects based on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Computer Science reflected the students’ technological understanding and their enthusiasm for emerging technologies. Students confidently explained the working of their models to visitors and responded to their queries.
The Art Exhibition featured a wide range of paintings, handicrafts, decorative items and other artworks created by the students. The exhibits beautifully reflected their imagination, creativity, aesthetic sense and artistic talent.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Mr. Binda Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and said that such exhibitions play an important role in developing creativity, scientific temperament, confidence, communication skills and problem-solving abilities among children. He encouraged the students to continue learning, experimenting and exploring new ideas.
The projects and models were evaluated by a panel of professors from RVS College of Engineering & Technology, Jamshedpur. The panel included Assistant Professor Ms. Lisa Gulati, Professor Gauri Shankar Paul, Dr. Professor Rahidas Kumar from the Department of Science and Humanities, and Professor Prabhat Purushottam from the Department of Master of Computer Applications. The judges evaluated the projects on the basis of their content, creativity, presentation, scientific approach, technical understanding and practical relevance.
The exhibition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and parents. The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of the teachers and with the enthusiastic efforts of the students. The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes and certificates to the winners in various categories.
