R.V.S Academy organised a House-wise English Story Enactment Competition for students of Classes VI, VII and VIII, providing them with a vibrant platform to showcase their creativity, acting skills, confidence and teamwork. The event was graced by the presence of the school’s Chairman, Mr. Binda Singh, Principal, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, and members of the teaching staff.
The competition featured captivating performances based on a wide range of themes, including social issues, mythology, fairy tales, unsung heroes, patriotism and environmental concerns. The students brought their chosen stories to life through expressive acting, effective dialogue delivery, colourful costumes and innovative props, making the event lively, meaningful and engaging.
The performances were judged by Mrs. Manmeet Kaur and Mrs. Papiya Biswas on various parameters, including story presentation, acting, creativity, dialogue delivery, stage presence and teamwork. All four Houses participated with great enthusiasm, dedication and a commendable spirit of healthy competition.
Addressing the students, Chairman Mr. Binda Singh appreciated their confidence, creativity and enthusiasm. He said that activities such as story enactment go beyond classroom learning and help students develop communication skills, imagination, teamwork and the confidence to express themselves before an audience. He encouraged the students to participate wholeheartedly in such activities and make the most of every opportunity to learn, perform and grow.
In her concluding remarks, Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra congratulated all the participants for their sincere efforts and impressive performances. She appreciated the students for bringing the stories to life and encouraged them to continue participating in such enriching activities, which nurture creativity, collaboration, communication skills and self-confidence.
The event proved to be a wonderful learning experience, leaving the students with valuable lessons in teamwork, expression and creativity while making the occasion enjoyable and memorable for everyone present.
