To mark World Nature Conservation Day, RVS Academy organized a meaningful and inspiring special assembly to spread awareness about the importance of protecting and preserving nature. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers, emphasizing the need to conserve natural resources for a sustainable future.
The occasion was graced by Chairman Sir Mr. Binda Singh, Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, Vice Principal Mrs. Puja Suman, teachers and students. The celebration commenced with the morning prayer, followed by a warm welcome by the comperes. A thought-provoking speech by the students highlighted the significance of World Nature Conservation Day and encouraged everyone to adopt eco-friendly habits such as planting trees, reducing plastic use, conserving water and protecting biodiversity.
The students then presented a melodious song dedicated to Mother Earth, conveying the message that nature is our greatest treasure and that its protection is the responsibility of every individual.
A powerful and engaging skit depicted the harmful effects of pollution, deforestation and environmental degradation. Through impressive performances, the students demonstrated how small changes in our daily lives can make a significant difference in conserving nature.
Chairman sir, in his message , emphasized that every small effort—whether planting a sapling, saving water, or reducing waste—contributes to a healthier planet. He urged everyone to develop a lifelong commitment towards protecting nature and preserving it for future generations.
Principal Ma’am also inspired the students with her motivating words, reminding them that the Earth is our shared home and that caring for nature is not merely a duty but a way of life. She encouraged students to practise the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge by all students and staff members to protect the environment, conserve natural resources and work together towards building a greener, cleaner and more sustainable future.
