RVS Academy celebrated “Diwali- Festival of Lights” with great fervor and enthusiasm on 22nd October, 2022 in the school premises. The objective behind the programs was to make the students aware about the Indian culture and traditions and also to spread awareness among the students and teachers about celebrating eco- friendly and safe Diwali. The classrooms were decorated with diyas, flowers, rangoli, etc.
The Chairman of the School, Mr. Binda Singh, the Principal, Vice- Principal, Coordinators, teachers and students were witness to the celebrations. The constant support of the Chairman Mr. Binda Singh made this event a grand success. In his address to the students he reaffirmed his commitment towards the society to make it safe and prosperous. He reiterated that children should celebrate pollution free Diwali. He appreciated the programs conducted and said that such celebrations are needed to make our children aware about the traditions.
The programme unfolded the creative abilities of the students in a string of activities which included group dance, songs, choral recitation, skit, speech in English and Hindi. Students also got to showcase their talents by participating in competitions such as Inter-house card making and Diya making.
The program was successful to spread the message of happiness and victory of light over darkness.
