R.V.S. Academy organised ‘Rakhi making competition cum Exhibition’ in the school premises on 10th August, 2018.
The school children showcased their talents by participating in the making of Rakhi with full zeal and enthusiasm giving shape to their imaginations in colourful forms, all attractive and alluring ones.
The occasion was graced by the Chairman Mr. Binda Singh & the Principal Mrs. V. Chhaya Das.
Rakhi, also known as ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is a festival of love between brothers and sister, a symbol of attachment to strengthen their bond.
The name of the festival ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is made of two words ‘Rakhi’ i.e protection and ‘Bandhan’ i.e relation. It is a day on which a sister ties Rakhi, a sacred thread to her brother’s wrist while the brother vows to protect and stand by her, thick and thin.
The children were overwhelmed with joy when they were distributed the prizes.
Twinkle of Std. VII bagged the 1st Prize.
Moumita Das of VIII notched the 2nd Prize
Kashish of VII secured the 3rd Prize.
The programme was conducted under the able guidance of our art teacher Mr.Dipankar Ganguli.
