In an effort to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical exposure, the students of Class 12 (Commerce Stream) from RVS Academy visited ICICI Bank, Mango, on 4th November 2025 for an interactive and informative session with banking professionals. The educational visit aimed to provide students with a first-hand understanding of the banking system, financial services, and the diverse career opportunities in the banking sector.
The officers at ICICI Bank extended a warm welcome to the students and engaged them in a detailed discussion covering various facets of modern banking operations. Students gained valuable insights into account management, loan processing, digital and mobile banking, credit facilities, and investment options. They also learnt about the importance of financial discipline, customer relations, and data security in today’s technology-driven financial environment.
A special session on banking scams and fraud prevention sensitized the students to the rising challenges of cybercrime, phishing, and online frauds. Officers highlighted precautionary measures that customers and bankers should adopt to ensure secure transactions. This segment was particularly appreciated by the students, who found it both relevant and enlightening in the digital age.
Throughout the session, students interacted enthusiastically, raising queries that were patiently addressed by the bank officers. The visit offered them a real-world perspective on how banks function and the diverse responsibilities handled by professionals in the financial sector.
“It was an eye-opening experience,” shared one of the students. “We had studied these concepts in textbooks, but witnessing how a bank operates and understanding the responsibilities involved made it so much more meaningful.”
