Independence Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at RVS Academy. To grace this occasion, the school Chairman, Mr. Binda Singh, the Secretary, Mr. Bharat Singh, the Treasurer, Mr. Shatrughna Singh, the member of the Executive Committee, Mr. Shakti Singh, the Principal, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, teachers, parents and the students were present. The Flag was hoisted by the Chairman. The Chairman wished everyone and asked the students to learn the value of sharing and caring , to choose a goal according to their interest. The Secretary requested the parents to motivate and to inculcate positive attitudes in their wards and feel proud to be the citizen of India. A strings of events were followed to mark the glorious celebration of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. The drumbeats with the steadfast Marchpast of the different house (Rose, Violet, Sunflower and Aster) lifted the fervour of the students. The Patriotic song Competition winners presented patriotic song. This was followed by the fiery speeches of the students in both Hindi and English. The Patriotic Dance performances by the four house (Rose, Violet, Sunflower and Aster) stirred the patriotic spirit in all. Various Certificates were given to the winners of different Competitions held in RVS Academy Premises. The Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra delivered an inspirational speech wherein she asserted the terms like loyalty, harmony and nationality. Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Chief Office Executive, Ms Sonali Deb. The day ended on a sweet note by distributing sweets to the Children and the Faculty.
