RVS Academy marked a momentous milestone as it celebrated its Silver Jubilee on 24th April 2026 with grandeur, pride, and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. The campus came alive with a vibrant atmosphere as a massive gathering of enthusiastic parents, students, alumni, teachers, and well-wishers filled the venue, their excitement palpable and contagious.
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. This was followed by a deeply moving Silver Jubilee Diya Walk, where 25 diyas were brought on stage by the students, each representing a distinct value upheld by the institution—integrity, perseverance, compassion, and excellence among them. The serene yet powerful moment set the tone for the celebrations.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Arjun Munda as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour, Mili Sinha, Principal of Jusco School South Park, along with former Principal Chhaya Das, added dignity and nostalgia to the event. Special guests Mr. Somesh Soren, MLA, Ghatshila, Mr. Sameer Kumar Mohanty, MLA, Baharagora, and Mr. Krishna Kumar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, also graced the occasion. The event was further honoured by the presence of the Chairman of the school, Mr. Binda Singh, Secretary Mr. Bharat Singh, Treasurer Mr. Shatrughan Singh, and many other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering first, Chairman Mr. Binda Singh reflected on the remarkable journey of RVS Academy from a humble beginning with just one student and two teachers to a flourishing institution of over 2800 students and 104 teachers today. He emphasized that the vision behind the school has always been to provide quality education rooted in values and discipline. He proudly stated that RVS Academy’s journey is not just about numbers, but about shaping lives, nurturing dreams, and building responsible citizens for the future.
Chief Guest Shri Arjun Munda, Ex-Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Former Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, congratulated the entire RVS family on completing 25 glorious years of excellence. In his inspiring address, he appreciated the institution’s unwavering commitment to education and character-building. He remarked that schools like RVS Academy play a vital role in nation-building by creating young minds equipped with knowledge, values, and leadership. He encouraged students to remain disciplined, focused, and rooted in Indian culture while striving for global excellence.
A melodious welcome song and a graceful dance performance by the students created an enchanting opening. This was followed by an inspiring audio-visual presentation tracing the remarkable journey of the school—from its humble beginnings to its present stature as a centre of excellence.
The youngest stars of the institution, the tiny tots of LKG and Class I, captivated the audience with their innocent yet spirited cultural performances, drawing thunderous applause and admiration.
The Principal, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, presented the annual report, highlighting the institution’s impressive growth over the years. Emphasizing the school’s guiding philosophy, she reiterated the tagline, “Education Without Borders,” reflecting its commitment to nurturing global citizens.
The Secretary of the school, Mr. Bharat Singh, addressed the gathering, reaffirming that the institution’s sole mission remains the holistic development of every child—academically, emotionally, and socially.
One of the most heartwarming segments of the evening was the felicitation of distinguished alumni, whose achievements stand as a testament to the school’s enduring legacy. The fusion of folk and contemporary dance forms, enhanced by innovative props and vibrant costumes, showcased not only the immense talent of the students but also the creativity and dedication of their teachers.
