RVS Academy successfully conducted a Professional Development Workshop for its teaching staff on Saturday, 29th November 2025.
The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of the Chairman, Mr. Binda Singh; Principal, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra; and Vice-Principal, Mrs. Puja Suman. Their support and guidance added significance to the event.
The workshop was led by Dr. Soubhagya L. Dutt, Psychologist, Research Associate, Academician, and Learning & Training Developer. He delivered insightful sessions on “Corporal Punishment and Alternative Discipline Strategies” and “Understanding and Management of Learning Disabilities.”
After the resource person’s introduction,
Chairman Mr. Binda Singh, in his address, highlighted the importance of empowering teachers with updated knowledge and humane disciplinary approaches. He appreciated the initiative and stressed that a well-trained faculty is the foundation of an effective and child-friendly educational environment.
Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, in her address, emphasized the need for continuous professional growth for teachers. She stated that understanding children’s emotional and learning needs is essential for creating a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. She encouraged teachers to implement the strategies shared during the workshop in their daily practice.
The programme focused on helping teachers adopt effective, non-punitive disciplinary methods and deepening their understanding of learning disabilities so that every child can be supported meaningfully. Teachers participated actively throughout the sessions and appreciated the practical insights shared.
The event concluded successfully and proved to be a valuable learning experience for the entire teaching staff. The school management expressed appreciation for the active participation of teachers and reaffirmed its commitment to organising more such programmes that enhance professional competency and promote a positive, inclusive educational environment.
