RVS Academy celebrated “Diwali – The Festival of Lights” with great fervour and enthusiasm on October 17, 2025, within the school premises. The objective of the celebration was to help students understand the significance of Indian culture and traditions.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chairman, Mr. Binda Singh, Principal, Mrs. Veesha Mohindra, and Vice-Principal, Mrs. Puja Suman.
The day commenced with a vibrant assembly featuring a soulful poem, a graceful dance performance, and an inspiring speech highlighting the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
Students of Nursery and LKG participated in fun-filled classroom activities, while students of Std. IV to VIII showcased their creativity through diya-making, card-making, and toran-making competitions, fostering imagination, teamwork, and a festive spirit.
A special highlight of the day was the Fancy Dress event by the UKG students, who charmingly depicted various characters from the Ramayana. Through their performances, they beautifully narrated the story of Lord Rama’s exile, offering a wonderful and heartfelt portrayal that captivated everyone present.
The event also featured a series of captivating student-led performances, including musical renditions, traditional Indian dances, a theatrical skit, and a powerful mythological dance drama depicting the fierce battle between Goddess Kali and the demon Raktabeej.
In his address, Mr. Binda Singh emphasised the importance of following the path of truth, honesty, and social service. Principal Mrs. Veesha Mohindra applauded the tremendous efforts of the students and teachers in making the celebration a grand success. She remarked that such events foster mutual respect, which lies at the heart of the school’s mission. They not only bring joy and togetherness but also help students appreciate cultural traditions and embrace values of knowledge over ignorance, compassion, and community spirit.
The Diwali celebration at RVS Academy was indeed a grand success—spreading happiness, unity, and enlightenment while providing a memorable and enriching experience for all.
