RVS Academy celebrated its 13th Annual Sports Day on 18th December, 2014. Sports is considered to be an integral part of the school curriculum. Along with academics, RVS Academy lays emphasis on sports which helps to maintain the physical fitness of the children. Through this, we also try to bring out hidden talents of children in various fields. The day began with the reception of the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Charles Borromeo Head Sports Tata Steel. It was followed by oath taking ceremony. Then the Sports Meet was declared open. Then we had Torch ceremony followed by Inter House March Past. After this various events of Junior, Senior and Super Senior boys and girls were held. Then there was Drill and P.T display by the students of Std VI- VII. Nursery, LKG, UKG children were no less. They also took part in varieties of races to display their talents. Events were also organized for staff, Sub staff and parents. The whole school was bubbling with enthusiasm. It was followed by prize distribution. There was great competition amidst all the houses. ASTER HOUSE was declared as over all winners and SUNFLOWER HOUSE won the runner’s up trophy. MANISH RAJ won the trophy of best captain. ASTER HOUSE won the trophy for Best Discipline, Best March Past Trophy was won by ROSE HOUSE.
Then vote of thanks was given and the meet was declared close. The Chief Guest for the Closing Ceremony was Mr. Satnam Singh Sr. Manager Sports, Tata Steel. It was followed by lowering down of the flag. The day ended with National Anthem.
