It was an honour and proud privelege for R.V.S Academy to welcome the learned guests from Consett Academy, Durham, England (U.K). Mrs. Catherine Jackson and Miss Caroline Metcalfe.
On the second day of their visit, our distinguished guests visited the school. They attended the school morning assembly. The welcome speech was given by the Vice Principal Mrs. Mitali Roy Choudhury . The children presented Radio ketchup in the assembly. A welcome song was sung by school choir. An English skit was presented by the students the Bible . The assembly programme ended with speeches by the guests in which they praised the School Management, Principal, teacher and students.
After this, the guests visited the classrooms and had an interaction with the students. The interaction was fruitful and enriching. It proved a wonderful platform for sharing of knowledge and creative ideas.
R.V.S Academy has been doing a collaborative project with Consett Academy, U.K since 2014, the visit is in connection with the project of connecting classrooms under the British Council.
After the visit to school, the esteemed guests visited the R.V.S Engineering College, Jamshedpur which was followed by lunch with the Management Committee.
Mrs. Catherine Jackson and Miss Caroline Metcalfe wished that this partnership will continue in the years to come and serve as a bridge between the two countries.
